Part of CCOM’s mission is to educate itself and others. The following books are recommended readings. Each book or article has been fully read by at least one member of CCOM. It would be easy to recommend books that we have not read, but that does not reflect the objectives listed in our mission.

2. “Narrative of Sojourner Truth” by Isabella Bomefree – Autobiography, this was a courageous woman who had little use for nanny governments. But be careful, the evils of slavery are explicit in this book. If you ever wondered about the fate of the enslaved and their experiences, read this book. 4. “Crisis of Abundance, Rethinking How We Pay for Health Care” by Dr. Arnold Kling – Nonfiction (Read this book if you want to know why we will need to fix health care again after Obamacare is enacted.) Crisis of Abundance
5. “Pictures of the Socialistic Future” by Eugene Richter – Fiction… the book written in 1891 which described a government who erects walls around Berlin to prevent its citizens from escaping. Progressives and Fabians alike laughed and snickered at him until his death. And yet we have dismantled those walls and still we laugh and snicker at the mention that socialism or welfare capitalism leads to disaster. 9. “The Real Lincoln, A New Look at Abraham Lincoln, His Agenda, and an Unnecessary War” by Thomas J. DiLorenzo. – This is a very interesting book. It’s very hard to take at face value because it is in complete contrast to what we are taught in school.
