Our Successful Events:
- Health Care Forum – August 20, 2009
This was our first event. We were still very disorganized but we all came together to create a fabulous forum that pulled together knowledgeable local leaders and health care practitioners to discuss Health Care Reform. The forum was quite helpful in that we were able to serve the community by giving the locals a place to get information and ask questions of those with knowledge.
- Count Down to Judgement Day - November 21, 2010
This event was put on by a coalition of 12 TEA party and 9/12 groups around the state join together to stand up for the rights given to us by our Creator and our Constitution. The event was created as a statewide rally to energize local everyday citizens who were just getting involved for the first time in their lives.
- Grass Roots Training – January 16, 2010
We partnered directly with Michiana912 to put on a grassroots training course. It was a half-day event instructed by American Family Association of Indiana’s Micah Clark and professional trainer David Lantz. The training included such topics as Biblical Principles for Political Leadership, Building Coalitions, Creating Your Issues Campaign Organization, and Applying Organizational Strategies and Tactics.
- Constitutional Seminar- March 20, 2010
This seminar was an all day event that we again partnered with Michiana912 to put one. The constitutional seminar followed the “The Making of America” outline created by Dr. W. Cleon Skousen and the National Center for Constitutional Studies. The seminar was fantastic and too short. The amount of information was incredible. The first half of the seminar explored the history leading up to and including the period in which the constitution was developed. The second half of the seminar reviewed each portion of the constitution and amendments in detail.
- Tea Party Anniversary Rally – April 15, 2010
We partnered and supported local tax watchdog group “Citizens for Common Sense” to put on an anniversary tea party rally. This rally marked the one year anniversary of the existence of CCOM, formally called the South Bend Tea Party.
- Candidate Round Table – April 17, 2010
Another partnered event with Elkhart county’s Michiana912. At this event we held two parts: the Candidate Open House and the US Senate Round Table. The Candidate Open House enabled attendees to talk face to face with candidates running for office on the city, county, state, and federal level elections in the May primaries. The US Senate Round Table gave an opportunity for attendees to hear all 5 US Senate primary candidates speak on topics of interest offered by a moderator.
- Economics Seminar – May 15, 2010
This seminar was a brief presentation of fundamental economics by professional trainer David Lantz. The seminar included such topics as Unlimited wants with limited resources, maximum utility, freedom to choose, marginal costs and marginal benefit, Production Possibility Frontier, Health Care, Keynesian Aggregate Demand / Aggregate Supply Model, Tax and Spend vs. Supply Side Economics, etc.
- Economics Talk with Dr. Kling – May 18, 2010
Noted author, successful businessman, and active economist, Dr. Kling discussed Health Care Reform, the Financial Crisis, concentration of political power vs. dispersion of knowledge, and many other related topics with the audience.
